Episode 116 Pazuzu Algarad - The Devil You Know

John Alexander Lawson was born on August 12th 1978 in San Francisco, CA. After his parents split, his mother moved him to Clemmons, NC.

John was a troubled boy from the start who dealt with agoraphobia and schizophrenia. His mother tried to get him help, but it was too expensive which caused him to decline rapidly. Mixed in to these mental illnesses was alcoholism since the age of 13. He also started abusing animals.

In 2002 when John was 24, he changed his name to Pazuzu Illah Algarad after the ancient demon from The Exorcist. He chose to create his own religion that was a mix between Luciferianism & Islam.

The house that Pazuzu and his mother lived in became a den for his followers and girlfriends to have sex, drink, do drugs, cut themselves, cut each other, drink animal blood, and perform animal sacrifices. People were free to do whatever they wanted in the home, including defecating and urinating in corners.

There were rumors going around that the house smelled so bad because of all the bodies buried, and that he had killed and eaten prostitutes.

Things started changing in 2010 after investigators charged him with accessory after the fact to the shooting death of Joseph Emmrick Chandler, who's body was found by a boat ramp in Donnaha Park.

In 2014, authorities executed a search warrant of 2749 Knob Hill Drive where Pazuzu and his mother lived and found 2 bodies buried in shallow graves in the backyard. Those bodies had been there since 2009.

The bodies were identified as Joshua Fredrick Wetzler and Tommy Dean Welch.
