Once I realised who was responsible, my daily life was consumed with thoughts of revenge.” Sexually abused at five, seven and twelve years of age, Shikesh was unaware that he would end up suffering so much more than he had already experienced. Growing up without living a normal childhood, teenage hood and even an early adulthood, he realised what mattered the most; to find happiness in his own unique way. Shikesh understood that his journey to recovery was going to be very painful and prepared himself for the fight of his life. In ALMOST, Shikesh tells his empowering story as he develops a deep self-awareness of why it is important to give our own meaning to a new beginning. - UPDATE from the Author - 29th July 2020 - After publishing my book, ALMOST, a lot of changes happened in my life both personally and professionally. For this reason, I realised that my journey wasn't over, so I have decided to write a second book in the near future that will continue from Chapter One in ALMOST. It will conclude my whole journey and finally give it the closure it deserves.
