Liz - New•ish Sober•ish, F-Ing Fabulous and Holiday Bliss

“Is this the kind of woman I want to be? The mom I want to be? The business owner? Is alcohol moving me further or closer away from what I am actually trying to do and here to do and wanting to in this world? The answer is further. Its definitely not closer.”

This conversation is different then my others in that Liz is brand new to being sober•ish. On the day we taped she was on day 9 and is now in double digits. Go Liz!! A month or so ago I got a Voxer from Liz sharing she was going to be hosting a retreat and was going to make it a sober retreat and herself be sober in preparation and that when the mindf*$&#ery began.

She shares about how she wanted the retreat to be perfect for the women and got caught up in all the thoughts of having booze there but then realized it would be a disservice to her and her clients to not deliver a transformative experience and nothing in the transformation involved hungover humans or booze infused nights.

She shares the conversation with her and her husband about how they think they are one drink people but really they are two-three drink people so what would happen if they became no drink people and so the sober•ish journey began.

She shares how she used to view sobriety as great for others but a no for her but after feeling the amazingness of sobriety is ALL IN and has a great pool analogy to detail this!

We talk about the Holidays and her intention of not drinking as opposed to years before when it was just a given and how the power of choice is a game changer when it comes to Holiday Bliss.
