Zachary Hughes, a classically trained pianist, is going on trial for the murder of Christina Parcell in Greenville, South Carolina. Parcell's fiancé found her stabbed 31 times in her home in October 2021. Hughes' only apparent connection to Parcell was through the father of her daughter, a fellow musician.
