Shlanket - Episode 557 - The Knitmore Girls

Shlanket - Episode 557 - The Knitmore Girls

It's time for fall, Knitting, and lots of LoLo! Why? All three are connected. Fall weather and knitting both can suck the life out of your skin. LoLo helps keep your skin hydrated & healthy - which means you can tackle that stash and finish more fall projects.

Carry your creativity with Erin Lane Bags! Whether you show your fiber fandom with the woolly wonder Sheepleverse, or dive into history with the Curiosities collection, our project bags, totes, and hook and needle organizers are at the ready to keep your hobby happy.

We all have it, we all snicker about it.

Fun Fur.

Whether it's eyelash, boucle, or just generally furry, it's hard to find projects for novelty yarn.

With a sweet face, spiraling horns, and delightfully rotund body, Friendsheep by Cate Carter-Evans lets you

transform your novelty and textured yarns into sweet, fleecy little friends. Pattern available on Ravelry; more info at infinitetwist.com

Have you ever had to frog because you forgot a step several rows back? Or lost your spot because you dropped your magnet board or lost track with your highlighter tape? Instead of wrestling with paper, use the knitCompanion app. It keeps you on track so you can knit more and frog less. knitCompanion works with ALL your patterns and is available for apple, android and kindle fire devices.

On the Needles:(0:42)

Gigi worked on the Regia Pairfect. All socks ate done.

Also Patons Kroy: Vanilla is the new Black socks

Jasmin is nearly finished with her Tundra Jumper out of AVFKW Horizon; first sleeve is done and

attached, second sleeve is maybe 10 rounds from being done.

(#MyRhineBIPOCSweater Join the Ravelry Group! , #BIPOCMAL2019). Jasmin

mentions the #BIPOCMAL2019, which started in September and ended in November.

Jasmin is nearly at the armholes on the Jedi cardigan (Joji Locatelli's baby wrap cardigan) for

Genevieve's teacher #knittinginthedark

Gigi cast on a baby wrap cardigan out of Hue Loco for the True North Hearts and Hands donation.

Both fronts and the back of the body are done.

Jasmin mentions our collaboration with Lady Dye Yarns

Jasmin mentions the article about a lady arranging the finishing of a quilt for a deceased quilter.

We will be collecting hats (locally) for refugees in New England:

Jasmin is almost finished with her Polwarth pullover, and she has started the Gatsby shawl

modesty panel. Night cap, Purlbreak Shlanket

When Knitting Attacks: (36:41)

Gigi: ready to Kitchener toe. The stitches she dropped ran.

Dogs ran off with yarn. Took a whole day to untangle

And Sew On:(41:34)

In Gigi's sewing class at Cañada College, she sewed the muslin for her fitted waistband.

Also, got started on the bodice alterations Took in the sides, and took a sideways fisheye dart.

Couture Embellishments class at West Valley College continues.

Gigi is working on Tambouring technique. Challenging. Should order one, instead of trying to fake it

with a crochet hook. The top of Jasmin's hook kept coming off. Glued it into submission.

The midterm project is supposed to be embellishment and rejuvenation of something out of the closet;

due on Halloween.

Gigi found silk ribbon at Madonna's in Morgan Hill.

Got started on it on Saturday. And she did a lot of swatching
