Bowen's Adventure Portfolio: I am a lifelong outdoors sports enthusiast (skateboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, sailing, windsurfing, surfing, SUP, open water swimming, trail running, MTB, kitesurfing, paragliding) and have in the last ten years become a passionate and now semi-professional kitesurfer. While most people think of kitesurfing for the freestyle (tricks) and perhaps also for wave riding, there are other disciplines that are gaining traction and progressing the sport: course racing, foil board kiting and my specialty: long distance.  We have developed techniques to allow truly long distance travel – 100+ miles in a day and 1000+ miles in a single journey -- by kite, and we have done several trips on the coast of Brazil and elsewhere using these techniques.  I was fortunate enough to be one of the principal athletes in a film production that we just finished about the long distance experience, exploring the northern coast of Brazil by kite. We shot last summer (2016) and just finished editing and it's now screening on Canal OFF in Brazil.
