Oscar winner Tom Hanks is the first person to admit he has a terrific life, but being a huge star is not without its challenges. One of them came last night, when the actor, out to dinner with his wife Rita Wilson, lost it when someone in a crowd nearly knocked her over. As Steven Fabian explains, Hanks was understandably furious. And the January 6th Committee regrouped today and focused on Donald Trump's efforts to pressure Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Meantime, who is the person caught on camera taking photos around capitol hill the day before the insurrection? Plus, drowning is the number one cause of children’s deaths, and with school out, millions of kids will be flocking to pools. But, because of Covid many children have not had the chance to learn to swim, since community pools were often closed. That’s why this year, swim instructors are working like crazy to make up for lost time! In addition, during Covid we heard a lot about the great resignation, people retiring early. Well as Jim Moret reports, with inflation and fears of a recession, many of those folks are rethinking that! Inside Edition reports… Every five days a child in this country dies from choking and one little baby might have become one of them if it weren't for a police officer who was in the right place at the right time. One million crashes every year… that's how many accidents the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says are caused by deer colliding with cars. One woman knows what that's like first hand. Weddings are always emotional but Les Trent has the story of a wedding that was a real tear jerker because of the way friends honored the memory of the couple's son who tragically died. They're the everyday things we might be doing wrong. Diane McInerney tells us how to start the year doing things right. Inside Edition reports...A suspect has been apprehended by police in connection with the stabbing death of a Barnard College freshman and news of the arrest is just as shocking as the murder of Tessa Majors. Diane McInerney says the suspect is only 13. For just the third time in history, the House Judiciary Committee has voted articles of impeachment. It's life in prison for a man convicted of killing two doctors inside their penthouse apartment...but the killer was not before the judge when the sentence came down. Thanks to some previous outbursts, he'd been deemed too dangerous to have in the courtroom. And an interesting therapy animal.
