We're back in New York after a whirlwind few days in London for King Charles Coronation culminating in last night's blowout concert where Katy Perry brought the house down. But even the stars on the stage couldn't outshine the little royals in the audience who clearly know all the words to Katy Perry's songs! And, if you've lost count of how many mass shootings have happened so far this year, you're not alone. It's a sad commentary in today's times. The latest shooting came this weekend at an outlet mall in Allen, Texas where a gunman, clad in body armor, opened fire with an automatic rifle on shoppers. Eight were killed along with the gunman by a cop who just happened to be there. As Jim Moret reports, the gunman was wearing a patch that symbolizes a right-wing death squad. Plus, according to reports, a grand jury may be meeting today to decide if any charges will be brought in connection with that death on a New York City subway. Meantime a group upset about the killing of a subway performer by a Marine veteran decided to assemble 'on' the subway tracks themselves … a move officials called dangerous and reckless. The Marine veteran claims he was acting defense of himself and other passengers. Les Trent has details, and we warn you this story contains upsetting video. And, closing arguments today in the civil rape trial against former President Donald Trump with E. Jean Carroll's attorney saying she was 'exactly his type.' Although, the judge gave Trump until 5pm yesterday to say he would testify, the deadline passed with no word from the former president. Inside Edition reports…As many as 25,000 National Guard troops will be on hand in Washington D.C. for tomorrow’s presidential inauguration and it’s being reported that more than 40 have tested positive for Covid-19. Melania Trump is being criticized for snubbing Dr. Jill Biden. If you’ve been able to get a Covid-19 vaccine, you are extremely lucky. That’s because everywhere across the country, people trying to access the shot are met with crashing websites, long lines, cancelled appointments and shortages. And a Michigan nurse went viral for singing ‘Amazing Grace’ to lift spirits during the pandemic. Now she has been asked to sing at a memorial today in Washington remembering the 400-thousand lives lost. Inside Edition shows the moving performance that led to her going to the Capitol.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Inside Edition reports…There will be no military parade to mark the end of the Trump presidency. The president asked for one…and the Defense Department said no. Instead Mr. Trump will have a much smaller send off at Joint Base Andrews just before he leaves the D.C. area. And it is being said that the president is the one planning his departure. It is now just a matter of hours until Joe Biden takes the oath as the 46th president of the United States. Never in modern history has a presidential transition been marked with the level of tension that exists right now. Steven Fabian is in Washington that’s now a virtual fortress. It’s not clear what Donald Trump’s next move will be when he leaves Washington…and it’s not clear what the next step will be for some of the high profile women who worked for his administration. Megan Alexander has more on that. And most people would have a hard time even conceiving having $220 million…but imagine trying to make peace with losing that much because you can’t remember your password. Les Trent has the story of a Bitcoin millionaire who may be out of a boatload of money after losing his Bitcoin password. Inside Edition reports…If you broke the law at the U.S. Capitol last week, law enforcement probably knows who you are. At least 170 criminal cases have been opened and scores of arrests have already been made. The charges being levied carry serious jail time and as Les Trent reports, today we learned how close Vice President Pence came to being harmed. The precision with which rioters moved on the Capitol has led investigators to suspect many had military training. How some tenants are allegedly taking advantage of Covid-19 eviction bans by not paying rent. And a runaway golf cart. Inside Edition reports…Armed guards are stationed around the U.S. Capitol, protecting not against foreign invaders…but against domestic terrorists loyal to outgoing President Donald Trump. The Trump empire is losing partners and business relationships at a stunning rate. In fact, there’s talk Mr. Trump might have to declare bankruptcy again. While pet shops and shelters are being emptied out thanks to adoptions, there’s something else happening across the country – dognapping. And CNN anchor Jake Tapper is under fire today for a comment he made about a Republican congressman who voted against impeaching Mr. Trump a second time.
