This is not the way you want your vacation to start. A freak storm strikes before a cruise ship even leaves the dock. The winds were so strong everything became projectiles as passengers ran for their lives. And, the US Coast Guard continues to search the ocean bed two and a half miles below the surface where debris from the doomed submersible, the Titan, are scattered about. Though precautions are being taken, so far none of the five victims’ bodies have been found and officials says it may be unlikely that any will be. The disaster is also prompting questions about other forms of extreme tourism, especially the quest to visit space. Plus, two months after Fox News fired Tucker Carlson, we know who's replacing him. Today, it was announced Jesse Watters, a rising star at the network, will be taking over the key primetime slot. And, divers come across all sorts of things but it's not every day a prosthetic leg is discovered at the bottom of a lake. Now the mission: to get the leg back to whoever lost it. And among those who say they are pleased is McAfee himself. And a big surprise on Capitol Hill today…just as a House Committee was meeting to decide whether or not to charge Hunter Biden with contempt for not responding to a subpoena to testify behind closed doors, the president's embattled son showed up at the hearing…sitting in the audience with his lawyers and that led to all out chaos. Plus, flooding in the east, tornadoes in the south, and blizzard warnings out west. Well, one motorist reached his breaking point, getting out of his vehicle and trying to push the protestors out of the way. And a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes in this country...now Baywatch star Nicole Eggert is among them. They are picking up the pieces from Friday night's terrifying incident in which a door flew off an Alaska Airlines jet, leaving a gaping hole in the plane midflight. It was just luck that no one was seated beside the door - which has now been found in a backyard in Oregon. And if there's a headline from last night's Golden Globes it is that “Hollywood is back!” After a year marked by strikes by both writers and actors, the industry celebrated the best of television and film. We've got team coverage of the first big awards night of the season, with Victoria Recano, Jim Moret, and Fandango's Nikki Novak. Plus, he made headlines for attacking a judge just as she was about to pronounce his sentence - today he was back in court. And this time, security was on high alert. And the mystery surrounding the health of the Defense Secretary continues. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin had some sort of secret medical procedure with no one, including the president, being made aware of it. Now it appears someone's job is in jeopardy and it just might be Austin.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. She helped murder her mother after a childhood of abuse. Now Gypsy Rose Blanchard has become something of a cult figure thanks to an HBO documentary and new Lifetime series…and she may also be about to become a millionaire. And Covid deaths have now crept back up to about 1,500 per week. The drug Paxlovid can be very effective in preventing serious illness and even death from Covid, but a new study found only about 15% of the high risk patients who could benefit from Paxlovid are taking it. Plus, his illicit relationship with Mary Kay Letourneau was the inspiration for the hit movie May December up for several Golden Globes this weekend. Now 40-year-old Vili Fualaau says he's "offended" no one from the film's production team ever consulted with him. And as they say, better late than never - but 80 years is an awfully long time to wait for a letter to be delivered. It's the heart-stopping video the whole country is talking about…a defendant taking a flying leap and attacking a judge. Today that defendant was scheduled to be back in court to face additional charges but at the last minute came a major change in plans. And we've told you about the “ram raid” crime wave where thieves drive a vehicle right into a business to rob it. Well it just happened in Los Angeles, at of all places, a bakery. As Jim Moret reports, 100 looters grabbed as much as they could carry. Plus, she's on a mission to dig a tunnel underneath her home. However, her neighbors are less than thrilled with her amateur excavation project. Steven Fabian has the details. And those just released court documents related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein are being picked through to see which famous names pop up. They're giving new insight into the once high-flying world of Epstein and his rich and powerful associates...but whatever happened to his empire which included lavish homes around the world.
