This is not the way you want your vacation to start. A freak storm strikes before a cruise ship even leaves the dock. The winds were so strong everything became projectiles as passengers ran for their lives. And, the US Coast Guard continues to search the ocean bed two and a half miles below the surface where debris from the doomed submersible, the Titan, are scattered about. Though precautions are being taken, so far none of the five victims’ bodies have been found and officials says it may be unlikely that any will be. The disaster is also prompting questions about other forms of extreme tourism, especially the quest to visit space. Plus, two months after Fox News fired Tucker Carlson, we know who's replacing him. Today, it was announced Jesse Watters, a rising star at the network, will be taking over the key primetime slot. And, divers come across all sorts of things but it's not every day a prosthetic leg is discovered at the bottom of a lake. Now the mission: to get the leg back to whoever lost it. As we've learned more about the doomed submersible at the bottom of the ocean, the more parallels there seem to be to the titanic. Like the captain of the ocean liner, the developer of Titan said the craft had failsafe features and he pushed ahead despite warnings of danger. These men all had the chance to take a ride on the Titan, but when they looked into it, they passed. And will the Titanic submarine disaster bring a halt to wealthy thrill seekers taking extreme vacations? Will it perhaps prompt more questions or stricter regulation? Jim Moret reports. Plus, it was a desperate act from a family in a desperate situation. They were trapped on the third floor of a burning building. Their only hope: to drop their five year old out the window and have faith that the bedsheet in the hands of rescuers below would hold. Les Trent with more on the heart stopping moment. And it was a glittering night at the White House last night as the President and First Lady hosted the Prime Minister of India for a gala state dinner. Among the guests, fresh off his plea deal to tax and gun charges, was Hunter Biden - who still is not out of legal hot water. Grim news today following the location of a debris field near the wreckage of the Titanic. The company that operates the missing submersible now says they believe there has been a catastrophic failure and that the five men on board perished in the disaster. And should anyone be sightseeing at the place where more than 1,500 people lost their lives? For descendants of those who perished in the wreck of the Titanic...the idea that their deathbed should be a destination for extreme tourism isn't sitting very well. Plus, a 13-year-old had just finished swimming in a Florida creek when an alligator lunged from the water and bit him. Not only did the kid not freak out! Les Trent says he batted the critter away and then calmly called 911. And the NBA Draft gets underway tonight with the San Antonio Spurs getting the first pick. Among the basketball phenoms who are in the draft…there is one man who stands out -- for his lack of skills. Les Trent has his story.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. The ill-fated submersible mission is putting the spotlight on extreme tourism. The men paid $250,000 each to see the Titanic. Whether it’s rocketing into space or climbing Mt. Everest, Megan Alexander says there are many incredibly expensive and potentially dangerous ways thrill seekers can spend their time. And a woman seated next to a 50 pound pit bull was not a bit happy about it....prompting the question - should a potentially dangerous animal be allowed in the cabin - even if it’s an emotional support animal? Plus, Bebe Rexha is back on stage just days after a fan hit her in the face with his cell phone. The Grammy nominated singer had one request - don’t throw your phone! And just weeks after we told you how the CDC had issued a warning about getting cut-rate cosmetic surgery in Matamoros, Mexico…another woman has died from a deadly fungal infection. As Steven Fabian reports, her family warned her against making the trip...but she still went, in secret. As the hours tick by, hope is dimming that the five men making a deep-sea tour of the wreckage of the Titanic will be found alive. They've got a limited air supply, and it runs out Thursday morning. The Coast Guard is doing everything in their power to find the submersible, but as one expert explained it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack. Very few can actually know what it’s like to be trapped two and half miles below – but one man does. He's a former TV correspondent who was on the first submersible to visit the titanic wreckage when a mishap nearly killed everyone on board. He spoke with Les Trent. And after years of investigation, Hunter Biden agreed to plead guilty to multiple charges today. President and Mrs. Biden responded… saying they love their son – but this may not be the end of the younger Mr. Biden's legal woes. Plus, Donald Trump continues to defend his decision not to turn over sensitive documents after leaving the White House. He sat down with Fox News… and things started off testy when it came to the results of the 2020 election. 111 years ago the Titanic hit an iceberg leading to a disaster that took more than 1,500 lives. Now there's a new search going on at the very same spot in the Atlantic. The Coast Guard has launched a rescue mission for a submarine that went missing during an expedition to the Titanic wreck. And when a houseboat capsized off the coast of Florida…it could have ended in disaster, if not for some very brave good Samaritans who jumped into the rough waters to rescue those trapped inside. Plus, sometimes overzealous fans throw things at their favorite singers. Usually stuffed animals or an article of clothing - nothing that can do much damage...but singer Bebe Rexha just got hit in the face...by a flying cell phone! And for the third year in a row, pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. However, it comes with a warning…you may have heard of players spraining their ankles or wrists, but it can be a lot worse. One man’s life was saved by EMTs after he suffered a heart attack on a pickleball court.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. UFC champ Conor McGregor continues to deny a woman's claims that he sexually assaulted her in a men's room...saying its nothing more than a shakedown. Now video has surfaced from just moments before the alleged attack. Does it help or hurt the woman's case? And she was a college senior who came home for the summer and was hanging out with a new group of friends...then she ended up dead. She was found in the middle of the road after leaving a house party. Did she fall from a moving car…or was she pushed? Plus, you may have heard there was a shooting at the parade celebrating the Denver Nuggets winning their first NBA title in franchise history….but there was more mayhem too. The wife of the star player got hit right in the face with a beer can. As Jim Moret reports, flying beer cans have become a big problem at championship parades. And accidents on treadmills are nothing new...but you've never seen one like this. A woman slips and then her pants got caught on the belt and off they went! She says she posted the video to - as she put it - give the whole world a laugh.     To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
