Police today released body cam of the moment they arrested the man they say planned to assassinate former President Trump while he was golfing. Today the question is being asked - how did the suspected gunman get that close to the former president just two months after another failed assassination plot? Steven Fabian is in Palm Beach with the latest. And the suspect is by no means a stranger to law enforcement. He has a long rap sheet with scores of arrests. He was also passionate about the war in Ukraine - traveling there to help recruit others into the conflict. Authorities are now piecing together his movements to figure out what led to Sunday's arrest. Plus, Donald Trump is leaving no doubt about how he feels about Taylor Swift. This weekend he bluntly posted four words quote “I hate Taylor Swift.” However, the response from Swifties may be more than he expected. And the big winner of the night was Shogun which set a new Emmy record with a total of 18 wins, including best drama and lead actor and actress. Inside Edition reports…America is a nation on edge today as emotions run high one week after George Floyd died in police custody. Protests overnight resulted in thousands of arrests for curfew violation or in connection with looting and destruction of property. In New York City, the first curfew in more than 75 years did not stop things from getting out of hand. As things are so volatile, it’s possible you may find yourself inadvertently caught up in a swarm of people. What do you do to stay safe? It’s a situation Inside Edition’s camera crew found themselves in when their car was surrounded. For those who want to make their voices heard on this very important civil rights issue, the Covid-19 pandemic makes participating especially tricky. Is there a way to be a part of a demonstration without putting your health at risk? Les Trent has some tips. And some people stepped in to help save their local liquor store during a protest…so why were they cuffed by police?  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Inside Edition reports…There are pleas for calm today in the wake of a weekend which saw protests in at least 140 different cities around the country that were triggered by last week’s death of George Floyd while in police custody. In Beverly Hills a curfew went into effect at one o’clock this afternoon…all part of an effort to prevent more of the looting and violence that rocked locations around Los Angeles that have come to symbolize the difference between the haves and have nots. The protests couldn’t come at a worse time for business owners. With most companies closed for over two months due to the pandemic, June was going to be an opportunity to salvage their businesses…but in too many locations, the unrest has put those plans on hold. And unless you were there, what you know about the unrest in America you know thanks to the work of journalists out in the field…but around the country reporters have been injured, some apparently targeted, as they’ve tried to do their work keeping the rest of us informed.
