A terrifying moment at an international swimming competition when one of the top competitors faints underwater. For moments no one moves, until her coach dives in to save her. It turns out that coach has been her guardian angel more than once. A terrifying shark attack off a California beach that left a man severely injured. He was saved by a couple celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary, who just happened to know a thing or two about saving people. Jim Moret explains. The January 6th committee met today, and the focus was on then President Trump's efforts to enlist the Justice Department in his failed attempt to overturn the 2020 election. In the meantime, footage from a Trump documentary has just been subpoenaed, so what does it show? He's believed to be one of the most prolific serial killers in American history. Richard Cottingham, known as both the “Torso Killer” and the “Times Square Killer”, claims to have brutally murdered 100 people. Almost exactly one year since Bill Cosby was released from prison, the disgraced comedian has been found liable of sexually abusing a teenaged girl back in the 70s. As Jim Moret reports, the verdict is the first time Cosby's been found civilly liable, and a stunning take down of a man who's been accused of misconduct by scores of women for years. And when it comes to being American, they're right up there with baseball and apple pie; Girl Scout Cookies. So imagine the possibility that a father is using his daughter to hustle people by taking money for Girl Scout Cookies, and never delivering them. Plus, at least one third of the swimming pools in American have had to reduce their hours or even close because there aren't enough lifeguards to keep swimmers safe. It's a consequence of the pandemic, and that's where this granny comes in. She's heading back to the pool to help out. And has the NFL turned a blind eye to a toxic culture? NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was at a congressional committee hearing today looking into allegations that go back at least 20 years of groping and other misconduct at the team now known as the Washington Commanders.  At the hearing Goodell said that “the workplace at the Commanders today bears no resemblance to the workplace that has been described” to the committee. The NFL has fined the Commanders 10 million dollars and Dan Snyder, the team’s owner has stepped down from day-to-day operations. His rep says he didn't attend today's hearing because of business commitments and concerns it wouldn't be fair. The January 6th committee resumed its public hearings today with the focus on the lengths then President Trump went to try to change the results of the 2020 election. Last night, January 6th came up on Steven Colbert's show. He began talking about members of his crew being arrested in Washington while shooting a comedy sketch with triumph the insult comic dog. Les Trent has details. And Britain’s Prince William has become part of the January 6th story, all because of a condolence letter he wrote to the girlfriend of a fallen Capitol Hill police officer. Plus, you may have seen that heart stopping video of a 70-foot yacht on fire as it was heading to dock. Now the couple who own the vessel are speaking with Inside Edition saying the blaze was so intense it was like a fire breathing dragon. And she may have been ordered to pay Johnny Depp 10 million dollars after losing that defamation case, but Amber Heard is not going away quietly.
