Chapter 4:• Except: dreamless sleep, rapid growth, duration varies from breed to breed. • She realizes her mom had no part of the games, Aetos backed up from Xaden, Xaden calls him out for sending them to battle. • Aetos points out a drift couldn't take out two dragons, She lies to her mom, Lilith rips into Aetos. • "You gambled and lost" xaden to Aetos. • Dain didn't know what his dad was going to do, violet stands up for herself, xaden tells him she'll never choose him lol, she's embarrassed when she doesn't even know if they are thing. • "One word.....Athbyne" xaden to dain, others watching confused.• Violet reflects on the fliers calling it a death college, xaden has orders to leave.

Chapter 5:• Excerpt: Varrish should be removed from duty due to prisoner deaths.• Talk about changing years, friends "harassing" Violet about xaden, where is Heaton?, forgot nadine existed (unweaving wards).• others asking about their attack, they question the Gryphon skill level. • She's angry at xaden but still wants him lol, Garrick calls them out on their b.s. and to sort it out.• They play the game of will they, won't they. She says no bc he won't be fully honest with her.• Introduced to Varrish, Aetos threatens "secrets die with the people who keep them".

Chapter 6:• Violet loses her temper, tarin is pissed, andarna is sassy.• They put on a show in front of everyone when says their good byes as a way to tell her to be careful with sending letters and to not get involved.• Says she trusts him with her life but nothing else.• Dain is the wing leader and Rhiannon is their squad leader.

Chapter 7:• Excerpt: All book requests must be documented.• New professor, Pf. Grady, unknown signet, riders survival course, surviving without a dragon and interrogation. • Goes and meets Jesinia to ask for books about the founding of basgiath and why there for the wards, her first lie to someone she loves.• Receives two books but only a couple hundred years old

Chapter 8: • Conscription day.• Dain looks heartbroken and hasn't talked to violet, she is taking final roll call.• Xaden left 3 books about weaving fabric into tradition tyrrish knots, with a note "even when I'm not with you, there's only you"• Meets Aaric Graycastle, King Tauri's son,a.k.a Cam "you cost that parapet, and there's no going back"-Dain.• Meet Sloane Mairi, gives her the same advice as Mira, blames violet for liam's death because she knew he was protecting violet, sloane makes it• Tarin arrives, destroys the walls, Solas not scared, "you do not have the right to burn what is mine", Solas retreats, "if Solas comes near you again, he knows I will devour his human whole and let him rot within me while his heart still beats and then I'll take the eye I so graciously left him"

Chapter 9:• Excerpt about green dragons offering their hatching grounds for all dragon and the first 6 put up the wards in nevarre.• Imogen invites herself to run with violet, Rhiannon questions it and violet is very awkward about it. (If I was Rhi, I would be hurt, confused, and jealous of Imogen).• Back in battle brief, Rhi points out the run and Vi still awkward.• Pr. Devera went into service and has a scar, Col. Markum knows the truth but shares of a high altitude gryphon attack. • Tarin getting pissy and tells her to shield.• Athbyne Outpost emptied for war games, then an attack, how would gryphons know this, also preomish unrest occurring.• Rhiannon suspicious of the healer Quadrant, Rhi and Violet kind of work things out.• Nadine "poses" as violet and assasinated.
