Chapter 19:

• Excerpt: Dragons do not answer to the whims of men

• On the flight field, no andarna.

• Varrish talks of his punishment, Tairn is so badass, dragons do not answer to him, Varrish retreats tairn but still says violet answers to him, tairn attacks Solas.

• "You are no rider without a dragon", demands Varrish apologizes on his knees to Violet with Solas's neck still in his mouth.

• Rhiannon hurt Vi never told her about the punishment, Rhi doesn't see the point of the gauntlet, Vi thinks it's best for training for Venin but won't tell her. Rhiannon snaps 🥺

• Violets feelings are valid and to not be ready to talk about liam

• Violet searched by Varrish in front of Rhi.

Chapter 20:

• Excerpt: after his dad died he forgot what it was like to be loved until Violet, going to do anything to get that back

• Running landing, tairn is upset.

• Violet's turn to visit Xaden and holding the contraband lol.

• Xaden mentally asks if she wants to kiss him for show, he walks up, full make out....for show of course, didn't Xaden get a boner.... for show?, 2nd kiss, Mira got the point.

• Sister time, withholding Brennan being alive, Mira doesn't trust Xaden, Vi quietly agrees.

• Ward stone is the stem, wards like an umbrella, ward woven to the ground at the outposts. The alloy that extend the wards, unknown alloy material. (Fantasy metal blend and eggs)

• Violet says that she thinks it's wyvern destroying poromish towns, Mira thinks she's crazy.

• The outpost kills civilians. 🤨

• Violet apologizes for keeping ward research secret, xaden says it makes sense but I think xaden just said he won't keep secrets that will affect how she makes decisions and asks for the same.

• Ends with them talking about her blocking him out, neither can fully do it to each other, and cuddling to sleep. "You love me, stop reminding me, maybe you're not the one who needs reminding".

Chapter 21:

• Excerpt: forming nevarre stripped locations of their cultures.

• Devera fills in for the history class and she discusses the cultural loses.

• Lost folklore, languages, books, history, travel.

• Ridoc knows oral folklore violet doesn't, he jokes that's impossible.

• Nevarre only gave families 1 year to move for protection and unification.

• Awkward moment with Dain, dain vs vi sparring, not a sexy one

• Dain doesn't acknowledge he stole her memory, tells her about his scars 😬

• Rhiannon realizes there is a hit on those who went to Athbyne for seeing something and asks what killed Deigh, no answer.

• Auric tells violet he knows about venin.

Chapter 22:

• Violet nightmare - future?, he wants her power.

• Xaden takes her to the basgiath forge, "thank you for trusting me"

• First 6 carved the first ward stone, plans for finding the book.

• Violet talks to Sgaeyl about Xaden backing down to Varrish.

• Violet taken for interrogation with grady and varrish and xaden returns her book.
