HOAXES AND MANDATES: J: When I was young, “the entitled’ were the very wealthy. Then they renamed themselves “The Successful” (even if they inherited their money) and morphed “entitled” to mean the “moochers” (the rest of us). My Hoax: the social safety net and the public trust funds are economic kryptonite that must be cast into the sun or we will become Europe. (Pay no attention to the cash cows behind the curtain.) My Mandate: the election of Senators, Representatives and a President that are willing to expose The Hoax and take steps to reverse its effects and end the fiscal responsibility vacation of the Successful/Entitled. D: When I was young, I believed that if I worked hard enough, my merits would allow me to get ahead and I would be rewarded with a comfortable life. In our country today, I see a system that is rigged and no matter how hard I work, how much I save, there is no getting ahead. I’d rather work to change or re-create the system itself. My Hoax: If we all follow along with the party of our choice, we’ll “win the day” and everything will return to normal. My Mandate: We need brave leaders to identify and communicate a new system that we can create together...where a meritocracy is real. Forget about the bankers and their system of usury. There is no free lunch and we are the ones we've been waiting for.
