Politics Done Right With Egberto Willies

I first want to thank Debilyn Molineaux and Sally Swisher for hosting my show last week while I was at the Coffee Party Board Meeting in Washington DC. They did a wonderful show. That of course is to be expected as each of them should be hosting their own show in their own right. Please listen to their show here. I had a very busy week. I returned from Washington DC on Sunday with a cold I got likely from the lady on the plane on Thursday that was spraying her cold virus infested fluids behind me. I knew it would be bad, but this was a week of commitments. I was committed to drive to The Capitol in Austin Texas to lobby the Texas State Legislature with a group of devoted progressive Texas women from all over the state. They called it Blue Ribbon Lobby day. I also promised to take my daughter who is graduating from the University of Texas at Austin to lunch (I had not seen her in over month). I drove back from Austin to Houston (Kingwood) feeling sick with lapses of drowsy fatigue and unending coughing. But enough about that. This week I want to talk about the newly energized gun debate. I want to also address a few issues we discussed at our board meeting. This week there seemed to be a crescendo about sex. Yes sex. It seems many GOP politicians decided to ignore their basic tenet of less government and regulation as they seem to want to join many Americans in the bedroom by deciding what kind of sex they can have and with whom. The legislation of sex? The War on Sex? It should be noted that many of the GOP controlled state are skirting Federal Law by implicitly making abortion virtually illegal.
