"I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" " Police Policy & Practice v The Constitution"

Shining a light on the incident in Dublin, GA when a police drug task force killed David Hooks in his home made me look at what policies and practice the Police use in these type of circumstances. Nationally, and, locally for me, we have had a number of recent deaths that have thrown Police practice and Policy under the microscope. This along with the Grand Jury Process, are paramount to review and understand., Juxatposed with the Constitution. Joining me tonight to disucss what happened to David Hooks is Former Laurens County Deputy Sheriff Jerald "Tom" McCain. Considered an expert on the Constitutional Duties of a Sheriff in Georgia Tom is also a Certified Law Enforcement Classroom Instructor. He is the former Chief Deputy Sheriff of Johnson County, GA from 2001 to 2008 after working as a Deputy Sheriff in Laurens Cty, GA where David Hooks was killed, from 92 thru 98. He personally knows a number of the law enforcement officials involved in this case. He will help us understand the subjects we discuss tonight. Please join us.
