Guest: Heather McCutcheon | Founder and Executive Director of the Reiki Brigade

Heather McCutcheon, founder and executive director of the Reiki Brigade, is a Reiki practitioner and instructor, licensed massage therapist, and author.

In her work with the Reiki Brigade, she and more than 25 volunteers conduct outreach events to introduce the benefits of Reiki via one-on-one demonstrations. Since 2011 they have offered more than 7,000, ten-minute Reiki demos to Chicago police officers, homeless veterans, medical students and faculty, incarcerated individuals, survivors of domestic violence, and attendees of trade shows and corporate wellness events. Heather is approved to offer CEUs to massage therapists, LCPCs, and LCSWs for her classes and workshops.

Heather has also written a book, Connecting the Dots: from ad exec to energy practitioner. Her story begins with an insecure, naive girl who shunned metaphysics until the universe challenged her to open her mind with an unmistakable invitation. Heather takes us through her transformation step-by-step, effortlessly moving from moments of bewilderment and epiphany to cracking jokes at her own expense.
