In the early hours of December 11, 2017, the small, tight-knit community of Walkden, Salford, was thrust into the heart of a nightmare that would forever scar its residents. It was just after 5 a.m. when Michelle Pearson, a single mother of five, dialed emergency services. Desperate and trembling, her voice cut through the static as fire and rescue teams scrambled to the scene, racing against time. Flames already consumed the house. Neighbors watched helplessly as the fire raged. Inside, Michelle’s family was trapped.
