This interview, recorded after another 1-hour podcast in French, is intended for English-speaking listeners all over North America who want to know some of the basics about contemporary Quebec politics and racism. Some questions we discuss: - Is the new CAQ government in Quebec far-right? (Short answer: No.) - Will the new CAQ government pander to the far-right and help normalize racism? (Short answer: Yes.) - Does Quebec have a blindspot when it comes to dealing with racism? (Short answer: Yes and no.) We also discuss grassroots organizing against racism in Montreal and Quebec City.
