3.2.6A 故事《马友友》2

马友友说，世界有这么多人种，这么多不同的语言，今天他可以以中文和中国人交谈。了解中国人的生活思想；可以以法文和法国人谈话，知道法国的历史背景，这其中就蕴藏著无限的乐趣。而且，他认为音乐和历史、哲学、文学、人类学一样，由不同的角度看有不同的解释：不同的人演奏有不同的风格；这是音乐与其他学术相通之处，也是音乐迷人之处。在哈佛念书时，马友友也接触了许多中国古籍，像红楼梦、西游记、三国演义等，都是他喜欢的。问他最喜欢「红楼梦」里那个人物？他笑嘻嘻的说「贾宝玉」。为什么？「因为有很多女朋友！」说罢他自己就大笑起来。马友友认为自己来自中国家庭是很「幸运」的。父亲严格的生活教育，使他在远离中国社会这么久的日子，还是能说得一口流利的国语。他说：「说中文的机会太少了！和爸爸妈妈说，和姐姐说，教一点点给儿子和女儿，其他就没有机会了。」因此他说，多来台北是好的，至少可以使国语说得「溜」一些。小时候，马博士规定儿女在家一定得说中文，吃饭时要叫得出菜的名字才能动筷子；写信要写中文才回信；因此马友友虽然没有长时间生活在中国人的土地，国语却说得相当不错，甚至极不愿意说话中夹杂英文。这样的背景使他在国际乐坛中能独享有儒雅、清新的中国气质，再加上天分和努力，成为少有的、不参加任何世界音乐大赛就扬名世界乐坛的音乐家。
