Ep. 516 - Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst
Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst in Trenton, New Jersey is a very unique military base in that it is the only tri-service base in the United States Department of Defense. All six armed forces branches have units stationed there. The name is derived from the United States Air Force's McGuire Air Force Base, the United States Army's Fort Dix and the United States Navy's Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst. This location was the scene of the horrific crash of the Hindenburg in the 1930s. Several buildings on the base are said to be haunted. Join us as we explore the history and hauntings of the place most commonly known as Fort Dix! Stick around until the end of the podcast to hear about the Doctor to the Dead of Charleston! The Moment in Oddity features the Montenegro Tree Fountain and This Month in History features the premiere of Playboy Magazine. Our location was suggested by listener Samantha Napier. Legend of Krampas Redux
Most of us as kids were raised with the warning that you better be good, for goodness sake, or you would end up on Santa's naughty list and thus receive coal in your stocking. But as we trace back the various traditions associated with the holiday season, we come upon a character that has been around longer than good old St. Nick and the warnings that came with him, were far more dire. On this redux episode, we will explore the origins, history and terror that are a part of the legend of Krampus. Ep. 515 - Cleveland Grays Armory
Cleveland sits on the opposite side of Lake Erie from Canada. While this proximity is not worrisome to us today, there was a time when Cleveland was worried that Canadians might invade their city. They needed a military group for protection and so they formed one. This group eventually was known as the Cleveland Grays and they built an armory that is today a museum. A haunted one apparently. Join us as we explore the history and hauntings of Cleveland Grays Armory! The Moment in Oddity features Roland the Farter and This Month in History was suggested by Chelsea Flowers and features the invention of Liquid Paper. BONUS: Faceless Ghosts
Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Here is a peek into our bonus material over at Patreon. There is probably nothing more terrifying than a ghost without a face. In Japan, anything that is paranormal or supernatural is called Yokai. One of these Yokai is a Noppera-Bo, which is a faceless ghost. Another name for these apparitions is gesichtslosgeist. These are entities who have no identity. They don't know who they are, seeming to have a form of spiritual amnesia. Join us as we share stories of faceless ghosts!

Phantasmal Crime 30 - 1909 Savannah Axe Murders
A man was on a simple afternoon stroll on December 9, 1909 in his Savannah, Georgia neighborhood when he heard moaning coming from 401 W. Perry Street. What he found inside the small wooden house would horrify the city. One woman lay dying and two more were already dead. An axe had been used and the murders were brutal. As to who committed the crime, that remains a mystery, although the husband of one of the women was convicted and served some time in prison before being pardoned. Perhaps that is why the location where the murders happened has stories of hauntings.
