A social media spat between Conor McGregor and boxer Jono Carroll show two Dublin sports stars in very different places in life.


Ten years ago both were ambitious and at the start of their careers. But today McGregor is better known for the recent controversial civil rape case and his performance at the inauguration of US President Donald Trump. While Carroll, a convert to Islam who now lives in Dubai, hits the headlines as he regularly repeats his praise and support for mob boss Daniel Kinahan.
