What to Stock In Your Pandemic Pantry

What to Stock In Your Pandemic Pantry

Many of us are trying to flatten the coronavirus curve by practicing social distancing. We're staying inside, working from home, and figuring out ways to keep ourselves and our families entertained. A lot has changed in the past few weeks but one thing that hasn't is our need to eat. Today we’re talking about stocking your pantry during a pandemic with Danielle Capalino, MSPH, RD, and the author of the books, “Healthy Gut, Flat Stomach” and “The Microbiome Diet Plan.” An expert on nutrition and the gut microbiome, Danielle is in private practice in New York City and an adjunct faculty in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She teaches graduate students in the Integrative Medicine Programs about nutrition. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Danielle also holds a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins. ◘ Related content International Society for Immunonutrition Position Statement on Nutrition, Immunity and COVID-19 https://bit.ly/2xnn6eu FODMAP FAQ (by Danielle Capalino) https://bit.ly/2wC3OSt Sodium Reduction in Canned Beans After Draining, Rinsing https://bit.ly/2WMCFai How to Protect Yourself From Coronavirus When Grocery Shopping https://bit.ly/2yccShv Black Bean Brownies (vegan, gluten free recipe) https://bit.ly/3ahXlLa ◘ Transcript https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/transcript-what-stock-your-pandemic-pantry-gw-office-of/ ◘ This podcast features the song “Follow Your Dreams” (freemusicarchive.org/music/Scott_Ho…ur_Dreams_1918) by Scott Holmes, available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial (01https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/) license. ◘ Disclaimer: The content and information shared in GW Integrative Medicine is for educational purposes only and should not be taken as medical advice.
