12: Tiphaine Veron: Nikko, Japan

At the age of 36, Tiphaine Veron embarked on a three-week dream vacation from France to Japan.
On July 28, 2018, she enjoyed breakfast at her hotel before setting out for a day of sightseeing. Despite meticulous planning, fluent Japanese language skills, and a prior visit to the country, Tiphaine mysteriously vanished. There have been extensive searches, but no clues or evidence have ever been discovered.
Japanese police initially suggested Tiphaine had been in an accident and sought to close the case, but her family remained unconvinced.
Continuing their own investigation, they believe that something more sinister may have happened to Tiphaine.
