116: To Be Out or Not To Be Out In Corporate Life – Jeff Nally

Are you out? Really out? Let's rephrase that question. Are you out in your work life, and really out in a way that represents you, the whole you that you want to bring to work? If not, why not? As a guy in your 40+ life you have lot to bring to the table, and we're not just talking about your work experience. You bring your life experience of coming out of the closet - resilience, determination, getting past your imposter syndrome and so much more. In this candid interview with my friend Jeff Nally, we talk the why's and why nots of being out in your work life.

About Jeff

Jeff Nally is an executive coach, coach supervisor, professional speaker, and author who creates no-nonsense neuroscience solutions with leaders to be more human at work. Jeff is the president of Nally Group Inc., a practice focused on the science of leadership and human interaction. He has 27 years of professional experience in human resources, executive coaching, speaking, and leadership development.

Jeff created and led the Executive Coaching Practice at a Fortune 100 company where he coached senior leaders and led group coaching. He is also the Vice President of the Global Coach Community at CoachSource, where he connects external coaches with corporate coaching engagements.

Jeff was the executive director at two not-for-profit organizations including The Community Health Trust operating homeless shelters for people with HIV/AIDS. He is a co-author of Rethinking Human Resources, and Humans@Work with other HR and coaching thought leaders.

He is a professional member of the National Speakers Association and is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. Jeff volunteers as a board member at The Society for Human Resource Management Foundation and the board of the Gay Coaches Alliance. Jeff lives in Venice, Florida with his husband, Bob, have their 20-year-old son, Adam.
