Cassidy, VGK silence Blue Jackets cannon

Prior to Thursday's game in Columbus, Bruce Cassidy told the media that he "didn't want to hear the damn cannon." The Blue Jackets fire it off after every home goal. Well, Cassidy and VGK silenced the cannon by shutting out the home team for the first time in two years, 4-0. Adin Hill stopped 27 shots. The Golden Knights excelled on special teams as Nick Roy scored a power play goal and VGK killed three penalties. Brandon Saad, Pavel Dorofeyev and Alex Pietrangelo also scored goals. And Jack Eichel had an assist to break William Karlsson's team record for points in a season. Eichel now has 79 points.
