Episode 59: Hope in the Darkness: The Digital Dilemma with David Murrow

Episode 59: Hope in the Darkness: The Digital Dilemma with David Murrow

If you are like most parents, you were already battling the age of screen time way before a world pandemic. 2020 just sunk us into a deeper dependency on our devices as schools moved online, work meetings moved to zoom, and we were told to “socially distance.” In this episode, author David Murrow brings us hope in the midst of a confusing time. Know you won’t be shamed or guilted. You will be encouraged with practical help for the digital age we live in. In his recent book, Drowning in Screen Time, David unpacks the reality of our screen time and how we CAN lead our families back into a healthier relationship with our devices. As we all consider our new year’s resolutions or goals for the new year, this episode will bring clarity and direction for such a time as this. Why not start January 2021?

David Murrow is the author of several books, including the bestseller, Why Men Hate Going to Church and What Your Husband Isn’t Telling You (topics for another episode). He’s not a pastor, professor, or theologian. He’s just a guy in the pews noticing the disturbing trends in the church and he has been given a voice in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, and New York Times. David is a television producer and writer by trade, working from every channel on the dial from ABC to the Travel Channel. He has watched the cascading shifts of screen time creep into every part of our world. He lives with his wife Gina in Alaska and enjoys his time with his three children and grandchildren.
