In March 2020, 18-year-old Payton Mann was arrested in Hot Springs, Arkansas, for the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Joshua Severns. The incident took place in Hollywood Park, where Severns was found shot and later pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities determined that the crime stemmed from an attempted robbery, with Mann and 19-year-old Alisa Kay Andry allegedly targeting Severns. Mann was charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery, while Andry was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated robbery. Mann was denied bond, and Andry’s bond was set at $100,000.

According to investigators, Mann and Andry lured Severns to the park under the pretense of a drug transaction before the robbery escalated to murder. Witness statements, digital evidence, and forensic findings played a role in their arrests. Law enforcement conducted interviews and interrogations as part of the case, but no publicly available footage of Mann’s police questioning has surfaced.
