Each week, join the Hyrule Podcasters as we play through all (well, almost all) The Legend of Zelda games in (roughly) release date. Our hope is that this podcast will transport you back to the first time that you played through this truly magical series.

The second half of season 1 starts now, with Zelda II: The Adventure of Link! To say this game is contentious would be an understatement. Will the brothers love it? Hate it? Quit halfway through? Join us over the next 5-6 weeks as we try to place 6 crystals, avoid Blue Iron Knuckles, and try not to complain too much about this game (looking at you, Patrick).

(0:00) We start off by chatting a bit about the history of the game and our initial thoughts. (9:20) Link starts at the North Palace and we must find our way to Parapa Palace. (16:30) Once in Parapa Palace, Ben makes short work of it and its aptly named boss — Horsehead. (30:30) Having placed his first crystal, Link goes on a classic gather quest — snagging a Trophy, Magical & Heart Containers, new spells, and new friends. Then, (43:01) Ben makes many bad choices trying to climb Death Mountain in search of the Hammer.
