It's Too Early to Tell: A Ghetto Election Watch Party

During another Woke Wine Hour with your lovely hosts Sadé and Malcolm, they enjoy some wine while watching the fall of democracy, I mean election night, in the United States. Okay, a lot of wine. And they might take a swig every time the anchorperson says "It's too early to tell". Their anxiety was acting up, alright?! However, they take this time to discuss some of the issues they felt were the most pressing or heavy on their hearts going into this crucial election, such as voting behaviors amongst key demographics such as white women (we already knew white men would let us down as usual), Black women, and Black men (especially Black men celebrities who have endorsed Trump), the tension amongst voters vs. non-voters in the Black community, and how Joe Biden and Kamala Harris might work to rectify the enormous harms that their support of the prison industrial system has caused if and when they are elected President and Vice President. (Side note: the first 60 minutes or so was recorded on Election Night, November 3rd, 2020. One of our lovely hosts falls asleep abruptly, so they come back to wrap up their thoughts on November 4th, still with no winner declared). It's a lengthy one, just like this presidential race, so crack open a bottle of wine with us and enjoy!
