EP 63: Husband Nearly Loses Pregnant Wife During Peak of Coronavirus Pandemic

In this episode, Nurse Jessica Sites and Nurse Erica interview Jamal Chubb, who shares his experience of his wife contracting COVID-19 while pregnant in 2021. They discuss the challenges they faced, including the possibility of his wife, Cierra, not surviving and the need to deliver their baby early. Jamal discusses the importance of sharing his story on social media to provide hope and raise awareness about the virus. He also addresses the negative comments and judgment he received. Jamal shares the emotional experience of driving his newborn baby home from the hospital without his wife and the struggles of communicating with her while she was in the hospital. The milestones of Cierra's recovery, such as walking and being taken off the ventilator, are celebrated. He highlights the support and care provided by healthcare professionals and encouragement received from people following his story. Jamal and Cierra's faith and love for each other shines through. Despite the prognosis, Cierra eventually recovered; Jamal is now pursuing his dream of becoming a motivational speaker and his new company framework motivation.
