Is Kasper Detroit's 2C? and ASP and MBN are Coming - Apr. 13th, 2025

The Detroit Red Wings are officially out of playoff contention for the 9th straight season.

Tune in as we discuss the postseason drought in Hockeytown, reactions to another year of disappointment as Todd McLellan, Dylan Larkin, Lucas Raymond, Moritz Seider, and Steve Yzerman continue to look for answers and what those may be (defenseman so Simon Edvinsson can move up? Forward to help the top 6?) (4:20). After a quick overview of the Red Wings' most recent games (including Alex DeBrincat, Patrick Kane, Marco Kasper, and other producing), we discuss the Detroit Red Wings NHL Draft Lottery standings, as well as whether Marco Kasper can be Hockeytown's 2nd line center of the future behind Dylan Larkin (and potentially alongside Nate Danielson) (21:30).

After that, we take a look at Axel Sandin Pellikka and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard making their way to Michigan from Sweden as they'll join Sebastian Cossa, Amadeus Lombardi, Emmitt Finnie, Anton Johansson, and the Grand Rapids Griffins as they gear up for a Calder Cup Playoff run in the AHL (34:50). Also, the Western Michigan Broncos win their 1st ever NCAA National Championship, taking down BU as Kalamazoo celebrates (43:25).

Next, our Roger McQueen 2025 NHL Entry Draft Prospect Profile: how talented is he, what's the risk to picking him, how is he like Cayden Lindstrom, and should Steve Yzerman target the skilled center? (46:20)

All of that & more before we take your questions and comments in our Overtime segment (56:00) - enjoy!
