Cycle Syncing 101: Periods, Fitness, and Biohacking Your Cycle with Allie Rickard

In this episode, we have on fitness coach Allie Rickard to talk all things women's health. Allie is a certified instructor in several types of fitness, and has built a career around helping women look and feel their best. One way that women can feel their best is through cycle syncing, something Allie has been practicing for several years now.

The term cycle syncing was first introduced by Alisa Vitti, an integrative nutritionist and women’s hormone expert, in her debut book Woman Code published in 2014. The method describes adjusting aspects of your life, such as how you eat and exercise, based on the phases of your menstrual cycle to help correct hormonal imbalances and decrease hormonal symptoms.

Allie talks candidly about what she’s learned about cycle syncing, and how she uses it to optimize her mood, energy levels, workout performance, and relationships. We also talk periods, career goals, finding what movement is best for you, whether or not you should become a certified coach, and more.
