Bill Daly, the deputy commissioner of the National Hockey League joins Craig Custance and Sean Gentille to address some of the major storylines in the NHL, as the league gets set to begin a new season beginning Tuesday night. Bill discusses the ongoing issues between the Buffalo Sabres and Jack Eichel, the legal issues for Evander Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks franchise, and the debut of the NHL's 32nd team, the Seattle Kraken. Plus Bill talks about how excited the league and the their fans are with ESPN and TNT taking over the NHL television contract in the United States.

Joe Smith from the Athletic Tampa Bay stops by to conclude the Athletic Hockey Show's storyline feature, as the two time defending Stanley Cup champions look to 3-peat, with head coach Jon Cooper freshly signed to a three year extension.
