Reichen Kirchmair: From Team Canada Gold to Hockey East Player of the Year

On Episode 70 of Rinkside Rundown, I’m joined by Reichen Kirchmair, standout forward for the Providence College Friars and one of the fastest-rising stars in NCAA women’s hockey.

Kirchmair shares her journey from the Etobicoke Jr. Dolphins to representing Team Canada at the U18 Women’s World Championship, where she won gold. We dive into her dominant 2024-25 season with Providence, including being named Hockey East Player of the Year, earning unanimous First Team All-Star honors, and being recognized as Female Athlete of the Year for Team Sports at the college.

If you're a fan of NCAA hockey, Hockey East, or the growth of women’s hockey in Canada and the U.S., this episode offers an inside look at what it takes to compete at the highest levels.
