Does Alcohol Really Make You Fat, Which Alcohol Is Healthiest, Hidden Ingredients In Alcohol & Much More: The Ultimate Alcohol Damage Mitigation Guide.

https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/alcoholpodcast  I first interviewed Thomas DeLauer in the episode The Ultimate Guide To Quelling Inflammation: Why Your Curcumin May Not Work, Surprising Effects Of Ginger Oil, Vegan Fish Oil Options & Much More! Thomas is one of the leading experts in the world of chronic inflammation as well as the response of the human body to a low-carb diet. He is noted for his personal transformation from a 280-pound overweight corporate executive to not only being on the cover of health and fitness magazines worldwide but pioneering some of the mainstream awareness of auto-immune diseases and inflammation in general! Thomas has been highlighted in over 20 magazines showcasing his transformation and has been featured worldwide on the cover of Ironman Magazine, Muscle and Performance Magazine, Natural Muscle Magazine, ICON Magazine, Platform Magazine and Ironman Japan. His background is in Sports Psychology, although it is this passion for psychology coupled with a career in healthcare as a physician recruiter and owner of an ancillary lab services company that sparked his love for nutritional science and what makes the body tick. He is currently working on a project in the 2nd phase of trials with Doctors at UCLA to identify a strain of bacteria that may help modulate inflammation within the body. It is partially due to his involvement in this study that he has developed such an interest in the world of cellular inflammation in the first place. Residing near Santa Barbara, California, with his wife, three dogs, two horses, and soon to be first son. Thomas promotes a lifestyle of living as close to the earth as possible to obtain the best possible results while still achieving maximum performance in every possible area of life. How To Buy, Roast, Grind & Brew The Healthiest Cup Of Coffee You'll Ever Drink.

How To Buy, Roast, Grind & Brew The Healthiest Cup Of Coffee You'll Ever Drink.

https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/healthiest-coffee Prepare to take the deepest dive you ever have into the art of preparing the perfect cup of coffee... ...including optimizing criteria such as the caffeine content, the amount of healthy chlorogenic acid in the brew, the antioxidants, the effect on blood lipids and much more. My guest on today's podcast, Adel Moussa, recently investigated the impressive host of coffee data he came up with after dozens of hours he spent on Google Scholar and PubMed. And he indeed found some very, very interesting coffee tips you're about to discover in today's podcast. As a trained physicist Adel, found his passion for nutrition and exercise science early during his studies when the lack of reliable, evidence-based information about supplements and training on the internet motivated him to start blogging about these topics. Over the years, his blog, www.suppversity.com, has accumulated more than 2300 fully-referenced articles and became one of the go-to sources for well-referenced, unbiased information about the latest and most relevant studies in the realms of diet, health, and fitness. In spite of that, the work Adel puts into the maintenance of the website, and the Facebook news-channel (facebook.com/SuppVersity), as well as his work as a reviewer for the "Examine Research Digest", are still a hobby for him - one that does, however, leave enough time to hit the gym several times a week. And remember...-You can grab your first bag of the brand new Kion Coffee now by clicking here. Use code BENCOFFEE to get 10% off your Kion Coffee order and – better yet – 25% off your order when you subscribe for monthly delivery. During our discussion, you'll discover: -If Adel drinks coffee, and if so, what his daily coffee routine like...[8:45] -Why coffee can cause heartburn and what you can do about it...[10:05] -The fascinating relationship between bean type and caffeine content...[12:45] -How you can maximize glycogen stores and lower blood glucose by choosing your coffee wisely...[17:40] -What chlorogenic acid is, and how can we maximize it in the coffee we drink...[22:00] -How you can maximize or minimize caffeine content based on your brewing methods...[26:05] -How you can increase the amount of fatty acids and brain-boosting compounds in the coffee you drink...[29:00] -Whether coffee actually "breaks your fast"...[37:15] -How "melanoidins" can actually increase the health of your coffee, and how to maximize them...[40:35] -Why you need to be careful with a compound called "acrylamide", and what you can do about it...[44:30] -The benefits you get from green coffee that you don't get from other roasted coffees...[46:45] -What Adel thinks are the tastiest or best coffee alternatives, such as green tea, black tea, mushroom tea, etc...[52:00] -And much more! A Quest To Find The Purest Coffee On The Planet (& The Shocking Truth About Popular "Organic" Coffee Beans)

A Quest To Find The Purest Coffee On The Planet (& The Shocking Truth About Popular "Organic" Coffee Beans)

https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/coffeepodcast My guest on today's podcast is one fascinating dude. His name is Andrew Salisbury, and originally (after setting the world record for the world's longest bungee jump), he founded Corsidian, which grew to be the largest provider of call center software in Latin America. After Corsidian installations in 13 countries and offices in 5, Andrew sold the company in 2011.  He then turned to coffee. It was clear to Andrew that coffee had tremendous health benefits, and decided to work with the best in defining what makes coffee so good for you, and to figure out how to get rid of notorious bad stuff in coffee such as pesticides, yeast, mold and a series of flavor imperfections.  He worked with a Professor named Adriana Farah for over 18 months to lab test coffees and to figure out how to source the right beans, with no consideration for cost and convenience, with the correct roast curve, organic source and freshness. He then validated his coffee against 49 of the most popular brands in the market. His goal was to decide on every step of the production chain what decision would avoid damage and maintain antioxidants in the coffee. That is not the driver for most decisions about coffee because the concern normally is taste and cost. Andrew asked a different question and the answers led him to decisions not normally made by coffee companies. The result was a coffee called "Purity", that is not the result of what Andrew did in the lab but the result of over 30 choices in the production chain prioritizing health above everything without exception. Andrew personally made every one of those decisions and explains why on today's podcast, explaining how he asked different coffee questions to the best experts in the industry, not just coffee scientists but from the farmers and everyone else involved in every step of production. He is truly knowledgeable about the difference in the process from bean to cup as it relates to the compounds that hurt or harm health, and during our discussion, you'll discover: -The mysterious debilitating illness that Amber's wife experienced while drinking 4-6 cups of coffee a day...[12:15] -Why Andrew began to study coffee at the Vanderbilt University’s Institute of Coffee Studies...[14:30] -What science knows about coffee that most consumers don't and why coffee has gotten a bad rap as early as the 1950's...[15:35] -Why coffee has gotten such a bad rap of late in California due to acrylamide levels...[17:35] -The host of chronic diseases that coffee can control or eliminate risk for...[19:40] -How to concentrate levels of chlorogenic acid in coffee to maximize antioxidant levels...[27:30] -The shocking results of the laboratory results that Andrew conducted on 49 different coffees...[30:40] -The unique three step process used to select coffees that allow for extreme flavors combined with a crystal clean health profile...[42:15] -How you can lower the caffeine content of coffee while maximizing antioxidants and taste...[49:15] -Why the highest-standard packaging method is called nitrogen flushing to gain the height of freshness...[54:00] -And much more! Rewilding In Miami, How To Rid The Body Of Calcification, Cacao Nootropic Elixirs, Iridology & Much More With John Schott.

Rewilding In Miami, How To Rid The Body Of Calcification, Cacao Nootropic Elixirs, Iridology & Much More With John Schott.

https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/schott Two years ago, I raced the South Beach triathlon in Miami. Afterwards, I met up with a local bodyworker and gourmet whole food chef who had offered to come work on me. I expected the usual ho-hum "rubdown" with some kind of coconut-beef jerky-kale snack, but was instead treated to not only some of the most intense and effective bodywork I've experienced (including the use of a walker - you know - like old people or surgical recovery patients use), but also a cornucopia of everything from bone broth doughnuts to organic local beef tacos to fermented vegetable salads and beyond - along with some very stimulating intellectual discussion on iridology, fascia, detoxification, magnesium, water and much more. So who was this guy? His name is John Schott, of Schott Health. Establishing himself as one of South Florida’s most groundbreaking and pioneering leaders in the health field, John Schott set himself aside from the pack with the opening of his restaurant and retail space, Lifefood Gourmet, South Florida's first gourmet whole food restaurant. His wellness services have touched the lives of high profile celebrities, athletes, and executives. John leads workshops and detox retreats in Florida, New York City, and South America. He has attained certifications such as Iridologist from NY Center for Iridology based on Bernard Jensen Iridology, Lifefood Culinary Chef & Phoenix Fastician from Jubb’s Longevity Live Food Culinary Chef from NYC. John has studied closely with the top pioneering authors & practitioners for the last 12 years in the alternative health field. His knowledge of and experience with detoxification, nutritional cleansing, bodywork, wellness & lifestyle coaching has led him to create a unique model evolving from a decade of apprenticeship, self study, and hands-on application with hundreds of clients. He has in-depth insights into areas of health pertained to nutritional timing (or “ time conscious" eating), trigger point & fascia bodywork, nutritional cleansing, near infrared therapy, and other alternative healing modalities & longevity strategies.
