25 God Does Not Waste Pain with Price Hightower

Price Hightower, is a lifelong Birmingham resident and the President of Tower Development, Inc. He has been married for 30 years to his wife Meg. They have two grown children, Will and Maggie.

In today's episode of Small-Time Leaders, Price Hightower talks about how his pastor Jim Barnett once said God does not waste pain. As someone who takes down notes during a meeting Price kept going back at this line and after a while, he starts reflecting on his most difficult and painful times. After analyzing all major pains in his life, he understood how each one of those painful moments helped him grow in a way that otherwise he would never be able to. God does not waste pain.

In 1994, with just $1,000 in the bank and a vision, Price transitioned from banking to real estate and began his business by buying, remodeling, and selling single-family homes. After 25 years of hard work, Price has assembled a team of employees at Tower Homes that is dedicated to excellence. Today Tower Homes is an award-winning land developer and homebuilder. The company also builds and manages a large portfolio of commercial and residential income-producing properties.

Price is also very active in his community. He is a member of Brookwood Baptist Church where he has served as Deacon Chair, Chair of the Church Council, and has taught Sunday School for 27 years. He is on the Board of Directors for the Big Oak Ranch, which is a Christian home located in Gadsden and Springville for children unable to live with their biological parents. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau, the Irondale Chamber of Commerce, True Vine Church, St. Martin in the Pines, as well as the Greater Birmingham Area Homebuilder's Association. He is active in other ministries such as Young Business Leaders, Cornerstone School, The Center for Executive Leadership, and local missions.
