Dreamworks has announced that a sequel series to its 2010 animated movie “Megamind” will premiere in 2024. The show, titled “Megamind: TV Series,” will follow the villain-turned-hero as he becomes a social media influencer, with Will Ferrell’s return as the titular character yet to be confirmed. The new show will be produced by “Megamind” writers Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, as well as Eric Fogel and JD Ryznar. Microsoft has ended its long-standing $1 trial offer for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The company is now exploring different marketing promotions for new members. Lionsgate executive Joe Drake announced that the John Wick spinoff movie, The Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, is scheduled to be released in the spring or summer of 2024. The film will follow a young female assassin seeking revenge for the murder of her family and is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and the latest 2023 installment. The film is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Emerald Fennell, with Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane reprising their roles. In addition, Lionsgate is also working on The Continental, a prequel series about the origins of The Continental New York’s manager Winston and loyal concierge Charon. Ubisoft has announced that it will not be participating in this year’s physical E3 event, despite previously committing to attending. The company will instead hold its own Ubisoft Forward Live event on June 12 in Los Angeles. In a statement to VGC, a spokesperson for Ubisoft said that while E3 has fostered unforgettable moments throughout the years, the company has decided to move in a different direction. With three months to go, no major company has been officially announced as attending E3 2023, and both Nintendo and Xbox have already confirmed that they will not be participating.
