The Bodyguard Who Protected Michael Jackson

What does it take to transition from the chaos of war zones to the stillness of self-reflection?

From protecting diplomats in Afghanistan to walking red carpets with Hollywood icons…Simon Newton’s life has been anything but ordinary.

In this episode of The New Mind, I explore the journey of a man who has lived at the intersection of danger, discipline, and deep transformation.

Simon has lived many lives…

He’s a British Army Veteran.

He was a Private Security Contractor in Iraq & Afghanistan.

He was a Ship Security Officer protecting tankers from pirates.

He was a Bodyguard to Royals, MPs, and global celebrities including Michael Jackson.

Now he’s a professional actor with roles in Green Zone, Sherlock Holmes and the best is yet to come!

Simon shares the mental tools he used to navigate extreme pressure, the truth behind the glamour of high-level protection work, and what it really takes to reinvent yourself after the battlefield.

Whether you’re navigating your own reinvention, healing from trauma, or fascinated by human resilience…this is one conversation you won’t forget.
