S5: E58 Set Boundaries at Work

S5: E58 Set Boundaries at Work

Do you have boundaries? The dictionary defines boundaries as a line that marks a limit. That line can be defined as the answer no, not now, or maybe next time. But, it's a line that is set for yourself and others to adhere to. Likewise, we should have boundaries in our workplace. Having lines that mark a limit to what we will and will not do for our careers and for work-life balance.

In this episode of The Latika Vines Show, our guest, Jolene Blackbourn, shares how she was able to set boundaries at work with two children and what you can do to do the same. She tells us:

  1. Before accepting a job offer, identify the workplace culture to see if the company fits your work-life balance needs
  2. Accept positions and other experiences that will bring value to your career path, brand, and mental health
  3. Continue to practice boundaries
