JYU for YOU (S02 E14): ESN Jyväskylä with Idlin Berta Arshinova

Who said ESN was just for exchange students? In the spring 2025 season finale of the JYU for YOU podcast, we are joined by ESN Jyväskylä’s PR & Communication Manager Idlin Berta Arshinova. As a talented performer interested in languages, Idlin had always hoped to study abroad in one of the Nordic countries: fortunately for her, and for Finland, she found herself as an exchange student at JYU in Autumn 2024. Determined to get as much as possible from her experience, Idlin immediately decided to engage with her local community and offer her skills to this new city she would learn to call home. This determination led her to Jyväskylä’s Orchestra, a leadership position in ESN and even her own dance class as part of uMove! Having fallen in love with her new surroundings, in particular the nature and overall peaceful lifestyle, Idlin knew that JYU was the place where she wanted to continue her academic journey so she applied to the LAGIC international master’s degree programme.
