The Belgian UFO Wave began on November 29, 1989, with sightings at 80 locations across Belgium.
Over 150 identical reports were made within 18 months, all describing triangular aircraft with three white lights on each corner and a red light in the center.

On April 4, 1990, a picture of the triangular craft was taken and sent for a year-long examination, confirming its authenticity.
Infrared analysis suggested the aircraft was propelled by an electromagnetic system, capable of speeds from 150 to 990 knots in less than a second.

The analysis of a photograph taken near Brussels on March 30, 1990, shows a triangular UFO tracked by F-16 pilots using onboard radar.

Another sighting on January 27, 1991, involved a soldier in Iraq, JT, who saw a triangular craft about 1000 feet long with lights at each point.

In 1992, Michael Via, an intelligence analyst on a ship in the Persian Gulf, observed a triangular aircraft with a black body and white lights, which was visible from the ship's mast.
The Tic Tac Incident in November 2004 involved a fleet of spaceships hovering over an aircraft battle group, including the Princeton and Nimitz.

The creation of agencies by the Pentagon to study UFOs, including the Threat Identification Program, was authorized by Congress.
Chris Mellon, formerly the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, interviewed a military intelligence analyst about sightings in Utah. The analyst observed a triangular craft moving across the ground, and pictures taken were found to be authentic.

Bill Scott of Aviation Week plotted sightings of triangular craft, many of which were over military bases, especially those with nuclear weapons.

Chris Mellon's motivation to increase investigation by the US defense and intelligence communities due to the increase in UFO sightings. Mellon received reports from highly trained and credible witnesses, corroborated by leading-edge technology, including infrared video taken by fighter jet pilots.

Mellon believes some incidents pose a strategic threat by unknown operators, and he has received reports of UFOs over sensitive military areas.

The History Channel's collaboration with Mellon is significant in the UFO investigation, particularly the 2004 Tic Tac Incident.

Department of Defense's release of videos from three encounters with aircraft in July 2020, which had been previously kept secret.
The vehicles involved in these encounters are referred to as off-world vehicles, possessing capabilities far beyond those of the United States.

Popular Mechanics reported Harry Reid's belief that spacecraft from other worlds have crashed on Earth, with the material recovered used by government contractors for decades. Reid's statement supports the claims of Colonel Carlos Castaneda, who provided materials from Roswell crash sites to contractors for weapons development.

The Senate's hearings concerning appropriations for the operation of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force in fiscal year 2021.
The task force is designed to standardize and collect recordings and sightings of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs).

The New York Times reported that Eric Davis, an astrophysicist who consulted on the UFO project, said materials examined by contractors came from off-world vehicles.
