It seeks to build a global movement of organizations and individuals who will shine light on the negative impact that fake medicines have on people around the globe and to reduce the negative consequences on individuals worldwide. King's College London Fight the Fakes was founded by Dr Bahijja Raimi-Abraham in March 2020. King's College London Fight the Fakes is a multidisciplinary undergraduate and postgraduate student-led campaign with a primary focus to raise awareness on the global issue of falsified, counterfeit and substandard anti-infective medicines particularly antimalarials and antibiotics which causes several deaths annually globally. In addition, the campaign also includes raising awareness of the rising use of falsified, counterfeit and substandard medicines in the United Kingdom.
