Special Edition: Lydia & Arturo de Leon, The Maya-Atlantis Connection

Embark on a Transformative Journey into the Heart of Ancient Mesoamerica

Join Earth Ancients’ host Cliff Dunning and Geophilia’s founders Dr. Lydia and Arturo de León for a once-in-a-lifetime 12-day adventure through Guatemala’s sacred landscapes, ancient cities, and living Maya traditions.

This exclusive retreat blends archaeological discovery with spiritual immersion, offering you a rare chance to experience the profound wisdom and mysteries of the Maya.
Why Guatemala?Guatemala is a cradle of ancient civilization and a haven for spiritual seekers. From the mirror-like waters of Lake Atitlán, ringed by volcanoes, to the jungle-clad temples of Tikal, this magical country offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect deeply with both Earth and Spirit. The legacy of the Mayans, with their cosmic wisdom and sacred rituals, continues to resonate in the land, providing a profound backdrop for transformation and renewal.

Guatemala + Atlantis
Guatemala holds a profound connection to the mystical legacy of Atlantis through the enduring wisdom of the ancient Mayans. Many believe that the Mayans inherited their advanced knowledge of astronomy, sacred geometry, and spiritual practices from Atlantean teachings passed down through the ages. Lake Atitlán, revered as the “Navel of the World,” is often seen as a spiritual portal linked to Atlantis, its volcanic waters echoing the energy of this lost civilization. As you journey through Guatemala’s sacred sites, you’ll feel the threads of this ancient lineage awakening within you, inviting a deeper connection to the cosmic mysteries that unite past, present, and future.

Dr. Lydia de Leon is a Greek born Holistic Architect, Coach and Temple expert, with a focus on the relation of buildings on health and well-being. She has been researching for 15 years the relation between ancient temples and their location, as well as decoding their true nature and function through a new lens blending scientific research and ancient wisdom. Her mission is to help people “Return to the Temple”. She is the cofounder of Geophilia.

Arturo Ponce de Leon is a Mexican Architect, Engineer, Psychologist and is a world leading expert in Sacred Geometry, which he has been teaching for 20 years and applying to architectural design in a broad spectrum of projects. He is the author of several books, an international speaker and an expert on decoding and applying Sacred Geometry. He is co-founder of Psychogeometry and Geophilia.

Chandra Wickramasinghe: Panspermia, and the Cosmic Origins of Life

Chandra Wickramasinghe: Panspermia, and the Cosmic Origins of Life

With the rapid growth of new evidence from astronomy, space science and biology that supports the theory of life as a cosmic rather than terrestrial phenomenon, this book discusses a set of crucial data and pictures showing that life is still arriving at our planet. Although it could spark controversy among the most hardened sceptics this book will have an important role in shaping future science in this area.We are led to believe that modern science is free of all forms of irrational prejudice that plagued science over the centuries. In this book we document an instance when this is far from true in relation to the most fundamental aspects of biology — the question of the origin of life and its cosmic provenance. From the early 1980’s evidence in favour of the theory of cosmic life and a version of panspermia, developed by Fred Hoyle and CW has grown to the point that its continued marginalisation, or even outright rejection, is a cause for serious concern. We present here the story of panspermia in which we ourselves have been directly involved…Milton Wainwright, BSc, PhD, FRAS was born in 1950 in the mining village of Fitzwilliam in the West Riding of Yorkshire. He obtained his BSc and PhD from Nottingham University, and after a short period as a National Research Council of Canada Research Fellow became lecturer in Environmental Microbiology at the University of Sheffield. Here, he taught and researched for forty-two years in the Departments of Microbiology and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. He is an Honorary Professor at the Universities of Cardiff and Buckingham, UK, the University of Ruhuna, Sri, Lanka, and the Slavic University of North Macedonia; he is also a Visiting Professor of King Saud University, Riyadh, and one of the few biologists to be made a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. He has published widely on the history of science, particularly on the germ theory, the history of antibiotics (notably penicillin) and alternative accounts of the history of natural selection and evolution. Nalin Chandra Wickramasinghe, MBE, BSc (Ceylon), MA, PhD, ScD (Cantab), Hon DSc (Sri Lanka, Ruhuna), Hon DLitt (Tokyo, Soka), FRAS, FRSA was born in 1939 in Sri Lanka. He commenced work in Cambridge on his PhD degree under the supervision of the late Sir Fred Hoyle, and published his first scientific paper in 1961 He was awarded a PhD degree in Mathematics in 1963 and was elected a Fellow of Jesus College Cambridge in the same year. In the following year he was appointed a Staff Member of the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Cambridge where he remained until 1973. He was formerly a Fellow of Jesus College Cambridge and Staff Member of the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge; Formerly Professor and Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Astronomy, Cardiff University, UK; Director of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology, University of Buckingham, UK; Honorary Professor, University of Buckingham; Honorary Professor University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka; Honorary Professor, Sir John Kotelawala Defence University of Sri Lanka; Adjunct Professor, National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka. He has also held visiting Professorial appointment in the US, Canada and Japan and Sri Lanka over the past four decades. Professor Wickramasinghe has published over 350 papers in major scientific journals, some sixty in the journal Nature. Together with the late Sir Fred he pioneered the theory of cometary panspermia the evidence for which has become compelling over the past few years. Drawing on her 25 years of experience as a spiritual teacher, Maitreya explores how to recognize and transform the challenges you experience into tools to raise your consciousness, thus empowering you to use each difficult life experience as a tool to create peace and build the foundation for a truly abundant life.Maitreya shares her own journey, when all her plans for her future ended in the blink of an eye, leading to the creation of this book.Pulled from her car with the Jaws of Life following a collision, she was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury that left her unable to live anything close to a normal life. Her physical and intellectual disabilities were huge and went on for the next four years. Yet she experienced a connection to Oneness during this time that she had never experienced before. In Oneness was the respite she had always sought, and all she had to do was close her eyes and breathe.Through simple, practical exercises, as well as inspiring transformational goals and action steps, the author emphasizes the importance of accessing and raising your inner vibration. She introduces you to your energetic systems and teaches how to respond to any life difficulty—from a small irritation to a major life tragedy—using the energy of love rather than the energy of fear. By focusing on energy frequencies, rather than thoughts or emotions, she demonstrates how working with the heart frequency can provide ways to understand, work through, and transform challenges that arise—better connecting you to the higher frequency state of your intuition. As your personal vibration rises, you attract the people, situations, and events that align with your unique path toward creating and living an extraordinary life.Selina Maitreya is a lecturer, author, and spiritual teacher. Dr. Kara Cooney: Recycling for Death

Dr. Kara Cooney: Recycling for Death

A meticulous study of the social, economic, and religious significance of coffin reuse and development during the Ramesside and early Third Intermediate periods, illustrated with over 900 imagesFunerary datasets are the chief source of social history in Egyptology, and the numerous tombs, coffins, Books of the Dead, and mummies of the Twentieth and Twenty-first Dynasties have not been fully utilized as social documents, mostly because the data of this time period is scattered and difficult to synthesize. This culmination of fifteen years of coffin study analyzes coffins and other funerary equipment of elites from the Nineteenth to the Twenty-second Dynasties to provide essential windows into social strategies and adaptations employed during the Bronze Age collapse and subsequent Iron Age reconsolidation. Many Twentieth to Twenty-second Dynasty coffins show evidence of reuse from other, older coffins, as well as obvious marks where gilding or inlay have been removed. Innovative vignettes painted onto coffin surfaces reflect new religious strategies and coping mechanisms within this time of crisis, while advances in mummification techniques reveal an Egyptian anxiety about long-term burial without coffins as a new style of stuffed and painted mummy was developed for the wealthy. It was in the context of necropolis insecurity, economic crisis, and group burial in reused and unpainted chambers that a complex, polychrome coffin style emerged. The first part of this book focuses on the theory and evidence of coffin reuse, contextualized within the social collapse that characterized the Twentieth and Twenty-first Dynasties. The second part presents photo essays of annotated visual data for over sixty Egyptian coffins from the so-called Royal Caches, most of them from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.Illustrated throughout with high-quality images, the line drawings and color and black-and-white photographs are ideal for careful study, especially evidenced in the digital edition, where pages can be enlarged for close examination.Kara Cooney is a professor of Egyptology and chair of the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA. Specializing in social history, gender studies, and economies in the ancient world, she received her PhD in Egyptology from Johns Hopkins University. In 2005, she was co-curator of Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Her popular books include The Woman Who Would Be King: Hatshepsut's Rise to Power in Ancient Egypt, When Women Ruled the World: Six Queens of Egypt, and The Good Kings: Absolute Power in Ancient Egypt and the Modern World. Her latest academic book is Ancient Egyptian Society: Challenging Assumptions, Exploring Approaches.https://karacooney.squarespace.com/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/earth-ancients--2790919/support.

Danny Hillman: Gunung Padang, The Oldest Pyramid on Earth

Danny Hillman: Gunung Padang, The Oldest Pyramid on Earth

According to Natawidjaja, the data that supports their findings shows that the Gunung Padang pyramid is a bit like a three-layer cake, and each layer was built thousands of years apart. He says the most recent layer, known as Unit-1, was constructed about 3,000 years to 4,000 years ago. The next oldest, Unit-2, was built around 7,500 years to 8,000 years ago. The oldest part of the structure, Unit-3, could be as ancient as 16,000 years to 27,000 years. This supports the research done by B.M Kim, which suggested the pyramid dates back to between 300 and 2,000 B.C.E.Interestingly, Natawidjaja says, “Unit-2 may potentially be a stepped pyramid."In his 2023 study of the site, he explains that Gunung Padang is more than just an old stone terrace; it's a complex structure buried underground featuring large chambers and hollow spaces. The carbon dating suggests that the initial construction could have taken place during the last Ice Age, in the Paleolithic era, and was later modified in the Holocene or Neolithic era.Natawidjaja’s team came to these conclusions by comparing the ages of samples from the volcanic base layer (which is millions of years old) and the three layers of construction.“In contrast [to the volcano], soil samples taken from between fragmented rocks have been dated to only a few thousand to a few tens of thousands of years old, which presents an enigma in natural geological processes," says Natawidjaja. "Geological principles dictate that soils cannot migrate from the near-surface layers to deeper depths over time. Hence, the juxtaposition of relatively young soils between ancient rock layers poses a significant geological challenge.”The conclusion: Only a technologically advanced culture during the Ice Age could have positioned those stones. Recognizing the impact of the findings, Natawidjaja once told The Sydney Morning Herald, “It’s crazy, but it’s data.Danny Hilman Natawidjaja is an Indonesian geologist specializing in earthquake geology and geotectonics at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Research Center for Geotechnology. In Indonesia, Natawidjaja has contributed to research on local tectonic plates. At the center of this mystery are the questions: Why are we here? Is there a purpose to our existence, a reason why we’re experiencing the beauty and pain of physical life? There is also the mystery of the universe itself. What is it and where did it come from? Religious and spiritual traditions have created complex cosmologies to answer these questions, but each tradition has a different answer, and we are left with profound uncertainty about deeper reality. As psychologist Matthew McKay reveals, we can each discover our own answers to these questions, our own inner truth, by connecting with the wisdom of our souls. In this guided workbook, McKay offers a step-by-step process to unleash the unconscious and intuitive wisdom held in the awareness of your soul. He explains how to use Deep Knowledge Meditation to access all of your soul’s accumulated knowledge, everything you have learned across all of your incarnations. Channeling his late son, Jordan, a discarnate soul who has lived hundreds of lives, McKay shares Jordan’s lessons on the mysteries of human existence, including what the Divine or God is, the nature of a soul, the nature of matter and energy, the role of love in our lives, and the origin of the universe. Accompanying these channeled teachings are journal prompts to be used with Deep Knowledge Meditation to help you listen to your heart and shine a light on your own deepest wisdom and soul knowledge.Guiding you on a journey of self-discovery, this book offers the opportunity to find your soul’s truth about your life’s purpose and the nature of physical reality.Matthew McKay, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist, professor of psychology at the Wright Institute, founder of the Berkeley CBT Clinic, and cofounder of the Bay Area Trauma Recovery Clinic, which serves low-income clients.
