S2E10: How to Build a Government Part 3: How to organize a legal society

Question of the Show: Is a just society possible?

Synopsis: We’re in the middle of a seminal moment in the judicial era. Black Lives Matter, #Metoo, Originalism, judicial activism, court packing, all terms heard ad nauseum just this year. We ask for judges to be impartial, then call them bad. The Supreme Court has an almost gameshow feel, where decisions raise justices to interviews and book deals, or cast them into accusations and black marks. Bill Burr pointed out that he said he wanted due process, and a studio audience was silent. Conservatives want to lock up Hillary, social media locks away Trump. Uh-mod Ar-ber-ee’s case was riddled with accusations of coverups, Hunter’s emails the same. End cash bail takes off as well as New York no longer prosecuting prostitution.
