36 | How is Time Being Spent in Public School + The New Local Music Program for Youth

Today's episode is one I've been looking forward to because we're pulling back the curtain on what elementary education actually looks like inside the public school system. No, this is not an episode to bash the public school system, just simply a behind the scenes look as to what is being taught and how much time they're spending and how they're utilizing their time in the classroom on certain subjects. Today I am talking with the founder and director of the Musical Youth Project who recently spent the last year working in the public school system in elementary school. She does happen to be my sister as well. So it's a super fun conversation. She's going to give us a first hand look at how time is really spent during the school day, how much academic instruction is happening and what this might mean for us as homeschooling parents. Whether you're currently homeschooling or just wondering if your child is truly getting what they need in a traditional classroom. This episode is one you won't want to miss.
