Beatriz Mota
In December of 2015, a graduation ceremony was being held at the Colégio Nossa Senhora Maria Auxiliadora in Petrolina.

7-year-old Beatriz Mota attended the event along with her parents, Sandro and Lúcia, who were attending the graduation for two reasons: not only was Sandro a well-liked teacher at the private Catholic school, which was located right in the city center of Petrolina, but their oldest daughter (Beatriz's older sister) was graduating.

As the ceremony began to wind down later that evening, both parents would notice that they hadn't seen their youngest daughter in several minutes. A search of the school grounds would ensue, leading to a grisly discovery a short time later...
