It’s the people, not the numbers that are the heart and soul of the treasury industry. And someone who explores that idea in more detail is Amol Dhargalkar, Managing Partner, Board Member and Global Head of Corporates at Chatham Financial, in this week’s Treasury Career Corner episode.

Amol takes us through his career and why he’s been happy to stay at the same company for nearly 21 years. He explains why he believes the most important parts of treasury are working with a great team, communication, learning, and making treasury roles more meaningful.

Amol leads Chatham’s corporates sector and brings nearly 20 years of experience in derivatives capital markets to support clients in their development, execution, and ongoing management of hedging programs across interest rate, currency, and commodity risk management programs. He has advised both public and private companies across all industries including real estate, private equity, telecommunications, technology, industrials, and healthcare.

Amol graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in both Chemical Engineering and Economics. He also received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar.
