This week we have 1991’s New Jack City from director Mario Van Peebles starring Wesley Snipes, Ice T, Chris Rock, Allen Payne, Vanessa Williams, and Judd Nelson.   Not only did this movie do well at the box office, it helped elevate a musical and fashion culture to mainstream status.
